Also, player raids are less subject to issues with composition or player connectivity. The Raid Finder version of the Dragon Soul raid will be designed with pick-up raiding in mind. Normal and heroic difficulties will require the greater organization and teamwork found in guild raid groups. Will I be locked to a raid I join through the Raid Finder? Since the Raid Finder only offers access exclusively to a specially tuned version of the Dragon Soul raid instance, instance locks will not be enforced for that version.

Instance locks will still be enforced for the normal and heroic versions of the raid. Can I queue with my friends in a party or raid? Yes, you can queue for the Raid Finder individually, in a party, or in a raid. The Raid Finder can be a great tool to help fill those last few slots in a raid.

The Raid Finder is intended to help players experience the current tier of content. If the Raid Finder proves popular, more raid instances may be added to it in the future.

Will Vote Kick still work in the Raid Finder? Yes, though many of the same requirements and restrictions will be in place. For example, kicking too many times can result in a Vote Kick cooldown. Also, the thresholds are different, and several players will need to agree on kicking a candidate before the vote begins. Successful kick votes will require a significant number of Yes votes to pass.

Players who leave the Raid prematurely will receive a Deserter Debuff, though it will likely be of longer duration than the one applied to users of the Dungeon Finder. This debuff will only apply to the Raid Finder system. To edit this section, click here. Raid finder coming in patch 4. WoW Insider. World of Warcraft official game site US.

All bosses can drop either their player or player loot. World Bosses Burning Crusade has 2 bosses, with individual lockouts. Starting with Warlords of Draenor, worldbosses began to rotate weekly. Information on these bosses can be found in the Adventure Journal in-game. Warlords of Draenor has 4 bosses. Legion has 15, split between the Broken Isles and the Broken Shore.

Battle for Azeroth has 6, with 2 additional bosses in Nazjatar. Shadowlands has 4. Did you find this article helpful? Yes No. Help us improve. This bonus roll works just like the first roll does and will not affect in any way other players' loot. A charm may also be used, on most bosses, for an additional roll even on subsequent kills during the same week. For example, a player may return to Lei Shi and kill her a second time, receiving no loot by default, but use a charm and get another chance.

Notable exceptions include open world bosses and the final bosses of an instance, on which only one bonus roll may be used per week. Queuing can done by forming a complete man raid and initiating a queue request. You will then immediately be teleported to the raid.

You can also form an incomplete man raid and queue, with additional members being chosen by the game to fill out the man roster; all players will be teleported to the raid.

It is currently possible to form a regular party including cross-realm Real-ID friends and queue for the raid. It is not yet possible to convert a party including Real-ID friends into a raid.

Since the Raid Finder is designed to serve players whose schedules do not permit regular raiding, it is designed to replace drop-outs. It is not possible to invite specific players to a Raid Finder raid once it has started to prevent players from kicking pugged players to make room for friends.

There is no lock-out for Raid Finder in the traditional sense. You can queue in the Raid Finder repeatedly and defeat the same bosses over and over again. However, you are only entitled to a chance to receive loot from a boss the first time you kill that boss per weekly reset. If you kill the boss again later during the same weekly period, you are not eligible to receive any loot other than that from a charm bonus roll.

If you are chosen as a replacement for a partially-completed raid it is possible for you to complete that raid, then queue again later and try for loot for bosses that you had not personally defeated yet. When the raid reaches bosses you have defeated, you will not be eligible for loot. If you have completed bosses later in the progression schedule for a raid, the system will give you priority to join a group that will take on the bosses that you have missed.

If you leave a Raid Finder squad while they are in combat with a boss and that squad defeats the boss during that same battle, you will not receive loot but will still be marked as having defeated that boss, and will not be eligible for any more rewards from that boss until the weekly reset. Players who need to leave the keyboard in the middle of a fight may leave their characters in the raid to avoid being subject to this consequence. Wowpedia Explore. But also remember not to point out that its up to the person for their own progression and choice of only doing LFR…but that this is content itself being heavily favorable towards one style of player over the other.

Be sure to full understand what was typed before responding as i gave valid reasons why LFR is for some players only choice to do. Anyone can do a Normal if they find the group for it… There will be dozens of groups forming to actually go in on normal at all times of the day and night… I dont get why you are complaining either.

If you can do LFR you can join a group for Normal. Each LFR wing will be cleared the day it is released. There is no reason that LFR players should hop over that progression time. They exist and rely on lfr to experience the content.

And they shouldnt have to wait till Feb. Febuary 2nd is a reasonable timeframe for a very casual progression guild to clear normal and LFR is as casual as you can get. Delaying the LFR progression encourages organized group play more. As such lfr is only to see the content. Lfr was made so you can see the content the gear is a bonus not the reason. As such you should have to wait till the rest of the playerbase also sees it before getting it.

Honestly I would be completely fine with lfr being delayed till the next tier comes out so you can see the content. Or release right away with no loot what so ever so it becomes truly tourist mode. Ok I will make this simple then. Regular raid and Mythic raid get released within 1 week. LFR wings take 3 weeks to do and the last wing is released 2 months from now. Someone who has stress issues and relies on lfr and when wiping knows the stacking buff helps along completing.

Put yourself in the shoes of an employee who does not have a set schedule and cannot put themselves in a dedicated raiding group due to working on those days and sometimes be lucky to not have that day to work but since not being able to be in the dedicated raid group needing to choose LFR to get raid done.

It has nothing to do with impatience, and all to do with such a massive gap in content enjoyment for two styles of players. The regular raider and the casual raider.
