How much hp does ragnaros have

Comment by Rag can be a very tough fight if your strat consists of certain elements. Chances are if you are a beginning guild you will die a few times. Our strategy has been to have a challenging shout rotation for all the warriors with FR when the sons come up, and watch for the knockback, other than that its a piece of cake. Comment by With the release of the 2. Not that he was nerfed, but that the classes were over all largely improved.

That was the best we could do at the time. These new talents are definitely a help, so if your guild hasn't attempted Rag since the patch, and you've been trying to kill him for weeks, I suggest you give it a go ASAP.

You may be surprised at the difference and improvement. Comment by We used to use the aoe taunt tactic when the sons came in for the warriors to control the sons and then aoe them. But indeed since the 2.

He just goes down before sons Comment by Chaosangel Ragnaros is the first real "gear check" in endgame raiding except maybe Bloodlord Mandokir and having tank with a lot of defense. Downing him is a significant achievement for any guild mostly because it shows that they are willing and able to farm for fire resist gear and greater fire protection potions en masse. Comment by Yes, he is the 1st target to really bring down in a raiding guild, requiring collective effort and perseverance.

One could say that Raggy makes or breaks raiding guilds. That is all, we spanked him with only five people dying because they ran into the lava like idiots. Basically says Ragnaros is but a true shadow of his true self, However he has more than enough strength to be your end.

Comment by Thottbot How much fire rez should each person need.. MT etc? Comment by Thottbot What gear you would need depends entirely on what your class is, of course.

But basically, to kill Ragnaros, the best thing is to keep farming the bosses before him. Each of them drops class specific gear with good fire resistance. Once your raid group has a good selection of gear from the previous bosses, you will have a much easier time with Rag. But until you get the dropped gear from MC, anything with good FR, attack power, critical pluses and high armor class.

If you are a mail wearer like me hunter , the Black Dragonscale stuff is good. You give up agility but the added attack power and fire protection make up for it. And you can have agility enchants added. Comment by Thottbot Oh man that was awesome to watch XD I have never seen a boss, let alone Rag go down so fast before and to take Rag out before any sons even spawn? Melee should ahev around FR, ranged needs about FR as well as the healers.

Just make sure to have an assist on the sons and they will go down veeeery quickly. Comment by Thottbot I know where ragnaros and thunderan are but where are the other elemental lords. Comment by Allakhazam YES! Comment by Allakhazam Aetas on raven just got him. Comment by Allakhazam Pally Fire Resists do not stack, and only function for the group they are currently in. I seriously doubt you can banish Ragnaros That comment is nearly the equivalent of a hunter asking if they can tame Onyxia.

Comment by Allakhazam I'm wondering if I'll ever get to see Ragnaros, let alone defeat him. Our guild has only been as far as the third boss Gehennas in Molten Core. Maybe one day Comment by Allakhazam It's not 8 kills, it's more than 1 person from each kill uploading data. Comment by Allakhazam Does anyone else notice the lack of ANY caster loot, besides the tier two leggings don't really count and that sub-par mage necklace?

Comment by Allakhazam 2 eyes 0 bonereaver 2 perdition 0 spinal killed him 6 times Edited, Fri Jun 2 Comment by Allakhazam GJ on the kill guys but what i dont understand is that hes taken down once and then everyone starts killin'em Second gnome on the server! Remember to take FR protection potions. Comment by Allakhazam well i read that post all wrong. If any other guild can beat this feat please post here. We all try to make a little WoW history on these pages, so bear with me in this hour of pride :D. Comment by Allakhazam really cool especially his 2h mace he leaves, would love to get on 60 NE druid. Comment by Allakhazam I solo'd him last night. Dropped everything on his loot list. Chuck Norris tried to ninja my loot but I wtfpwned him with a roundhouse kick.

It sucks that I've never had the pleasure of fighting this guy. One day Comment by Allakhazam what kind of damages does he do? Comment by Allakhazam 1 MT, 3 Pallies, a couple druids and whatever else Hellscream server EU. This is current for patch 1. Rag is a n00b now Comment by Allakhazam Nobody has killed Ragnaros yet. And it takes People to do it definitely 40 for the latter bosses and areas. It's a ton of fun being in there and plugging away at the place, but I wouldn't expect Rangaros to be down anytime soon Comment by Allakhazam Im gonna leave a warloc, and 2 of my friends gonne leave some alts here, That way we can teleport a raid down here, no need to fight all the way down :D Hope this is a nice idea u all can use to farm this guy over and over and over ; Happy hunting.

Comment by Allakhazam Is this guy ever gonna die? I've been checking his status regularly for a couple months And the blackwing lair boss is supposed to be even stronger? Comment by Allakhazam Omg, has he been killed times allready? Thats just wicked :P. Comment by Allakhazam I soloed him, got 3 legendaries but vendored them, my artifacts pwn them. Comment by Allakhazam god a message of whining and crying about a goddam stupid video game boss.

If u want to know what he drops and every weapon that has been put into the game hack the server and get into the mpq files. Either u can beat the boss or you cant there really is no strategery to it..

LMFAO the mindless babble by the geeks here is way funny. Comment by Allakhazam Lol, sure and what was the chest armor that you were wearing Lorune?

Comment by Allakhazam Is this guy immune to fire becose if he is fire mages suck ugenst him. Comment by Allakhazam Stupid double posting.

Comment by Allakhazam Ragnaros has been killed, on Medivh server, by the guild Ascent. Congrats to them. This means that melee should be around Ragnaros generally on the south, west and north parts of the inner ring, and the ranged is on the south and west portions of the outer ring.

There are small patches of wall on the outer rings that, when stood directly against will usually prevent Ragnaros' random fireballs from knocking you back.

This fight alternates between two stages - in the first, Ragnaros is up and everybody concentrates on DPSing him, in the second Ragnaros is immune to DPS, and the raid has to deal with his sons instead.

Ragnaros is always up for 3 minutes stage 1 , then submerges for 90 seconds. This alternates until either the raid is wiped or Ragnaros is dead. If your warriors and warlocks are up to the task, it is possible to get him down between the second and third wave of sons, but there's not much point in holding back DPS as no tradeoff between survivability and doing damage is possible.

Mages should already be positioned at the collapse point. Mana users should be at the very edge of the ring, as to avoid the Son's massive mana burn aura. Tanks and Rogues should form a wall in front of the casters. Gain repuation with the Hydraxian Waterlords at revered. The Sulfuron Hammer can only be crafted using the Black Anvil.

The Sulfuron Hammer takes the following materials to craft. For more details see: Molten Core Loot. Post away! Log in , it's free! An alternative version of this wiki is now operational and ready for use. WoWWiki Explore. WoW info. He still does good damage. So Bruiser for draft, eh. True, though in his assassin days Q healed even more than it does now.

He had one of the best self sustain abilities in the game which was further supplemented with the health globe quest, which increased his regen by almost 2x as much as it does now. A Bruiser, as they currently stand, is generally any melee hero with notable sustain. Baseline he can be a bit squishy but he scales really well. Full Q build does some disgusting things against grouped enemies and is very strong on compact objectives like Infernal Shrines.

Personally, I think the biggest issue is the size and variety of the bruiser class at the moment. The original breakdown when the bruiser class was first added was OK, if maybe not ideal. Since then, the trend has been to add tankier bruisers with amazing self-sustain, so a number of the older heroes are necessarily outclassed. Given how small the pools of tanks and melee assassins are, I think it would be healthy to adjust and move heroes like Thrall, Rag, and Malthael back into a full melee assassin role, and some of the tankier bruisers, such as Imperius and Artanis, into a full tank role.

Balance just becomes too hard when a role gets too diverse for a mode like QM. You know going in what you are doing and why, and even if oddball things happen, that is on you and your team to make it work. Sometimes it can end brilliantly, depending on the skill of the players.
